The new driver version not only includes a number of bug fixes and improvements regarding the build process for newer kernel versions (2.6.30). A couple of additional functions for the mbgstatus utility and optimizations for using the software on SELINUX-enabled systems are also mentioned in the changelog on Meinbergs Driver Download page.
This release adds extended support for the new Meinberg PTP270PEX PCI Express slot card. This brand new product can synchronize with a PTP/IEEE 1588 grandmaster clock and offers the same level of accuracy and performance as a GPS synchronized reference.
