Product Announcement: First PCI Express Radio Clock

Meinberg now offers the first Radio Clock in PCIe form factor. Their new generation of bus-level hardware time reference clocks can be installed in even the newest server generation, which mostly does not provide any PCI-X slots. Starting with a DCF77 receiver card the new product line will soon be including GPS and IRIG PCIe slot cards as well.

Due to the fact that more and more servers and workstations are shipped with PCI Express and only one or two available PCI-X slots, Meinberg was asked by their customers to develop a PCIe solution. The first available product is the PEX511 which will be a successor of the PCI511 DCF77 PCI-X slotcard. The Single Lane (1x) PCIe card comes in low profile form factor and can be installed even in small 1U/2U rackmount servers. The card comes with both a low profile and a regular slot cover, allowing the end user to use it no matter which type of slot is available.

More details about this product can be found on the PCIe DCF77 Radio Clock PEX511 product page.
