New GPS Satellite Receiver and Time Code Generator


An optimized version of Meinberg's rail mount GPS receiver with a built-in time code generator is now available.

Bad Pyrmont, July 27, 2017 - Meinberg, one of the world's leading manufacturers of time and frequency synchronization solutions, introduces its brand new GPS165, which is an upgrade version of the well known GPS164 satellite receiver.

The GPS165 has been designed for DIN rail mounting and its front panel integrates eight LED indicators, a terminal block, two DSUB and three BNC-connectors. The receiver is connected to the antenna/converter unit by a 50 Ohm coaxial cable with length up to 300 m (when using RG58 cable). It is possible to connect up to four receivers to one antenna by using an optional antenna diplexer. The navigation message coming from the satellites is decoded by GPS165’s microprocessor in order to track the GPS system time with an accuracy of better than ±100nsec. The Meinberg satellite receiver clocks of the GPS165 series are available with several power supply options.
