This accurate reference time source is an alternative to PCI- or serial radio clocks and allows you to synchronize computer systems without an available PCI slot or serial port. It is USB-powered and has an integrated antenna, which makes it a perfect solution for synchronizing laptops used in mobile data aquisition applications. If the internal antenna is not sufficient for your specific environment, you can add an optional external antenna to improve overall reception quality.
The USB5131 uses the same driver and the same API functions that you know from the PCI and ISA slotcards, you can access both Meinberg slot cards and USB devices from within your own applications - using the same API calls and the same driver.
Drivers for Windows are available, we currently work on implementing support for the USB5131 in our open source Linux driver package.
