The very successful result of this plug-fest (everything worked as expected) showed that the LANTIME IEEE 1588 models are the ideal solution for providing time synchronization to heterogenous networks
where not only PTP clients ("slaves") are synchronized to absolute time, regular NTP/SNTP compatible clients are also provided with the accurate time with
Meinbergs PTP Grandmaster Clock with GPS.
In Networks that already provide a stable and accurate PTP Grandmaster Clock and where NTP/SNTP clients need to be synchronized, the
Meinberg LANTIME/PTP - PTP Ordinary Clock can be deployed to provide PTP synchronized time to NTP/SNTP clients.
These applications were described in a lecture which was presented by Meinberg in one of the lecture sessions of the conference. This lecture as well as the Powerpoint presentation
can be downloaded from Meinbergs webserver
