WWV is the callsign of NIST's shortwave radio station in Fort Collins, Colorado. WWV disseminates the official U.S. Government time signals. The transmitter broadcasts on five frequencies: 2.5 MHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz and 20 MHz. The carrier frequencies and the time signals are derived from a set of atomic clocks at the transmitter site. WWV is a partner of the WWVH radio station, located in Hawaii, and of the WWVB longwave radio station which is also located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
