Timeserver
A timeserver is a network server that disseminates time information via the network. It can be either a dedicated time server or another server, that is synchronized by a radio clock and is used as a time reference. The exact time is then propagated on the network with a time synchronisation protocol. Mostly the Network Time Protocol (NTP is used, but tody more often the Precision Time Protocol (IEEE-1588 Time Server) is used.
