LOL is a time signal transmitter based in Buenos Aires, Argentina at 34° 37'S 58° 21'W. It uses a range of frequencies of 5, 10 and 15 MHz, whereas the last two are being sent irregularly. The signals are being sent one hour at a time with a three hour break starting at 11 o’clock.
Technical Specifications: Second pulses of 5 cycles of 1000 Hz modulation. Second 59 is omitted. Announcement of hours and minutes every 5 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of 1000 Hz or 440 Hz modulation. DUT1: ITU-R Code by lengthening.
