HBG is a time signal transmitter and finds its origin in Prangins, Switzerland at 46° 24'N 6° 15'E and continuously sends with a frequency of 75 kHz.
Technical Specifications: At the beginning of each second (except the 59th second), the carrier is interrupted for a duration of 0.1 or 0.2 s corresponding to "binary 0" or "binary 1", respectively, double pulse each minute. The number of the minute, hour, day of the month, day of the week, month and year are transmitted in BCD code from the 21st to the 58th second. The time signals are generated by the Swiss Federal Office of Metrology and Accreditation and in accordance with the legal time of Switzerland which is UTC(CH) + 1 h (Central European Time CET) or UTC(CH) + 2 h (Central European Summer Time CEST). In addition, CET and CEST are indicated by a binary 1 at the 18th or 17th second, respectively.
