History of Innovation
Meinberg was founded in 1979 by Werner and Günter Meinberg, pioneering radio-controlled systems that spurred development of longwave DCF77 receivers vital for industrial applications. Passionate about time, today the company is a global technology leader with more than 100 employees developing and manufacturing time and frequency synchronization systems for modern industrial applications worldwide. Our objective is complete customer satisfaction, and we’re committed to delivering the highest level of quality, technical innovation, and flexibility in all Meinberg products and services.
Meinberg products are comprised of high quality components and modules, acting as flexible functional blocks that can be combined and configured to address the most varied and complex customer requirements. This adaptable, innovative approach to product management is well-established in our LANTIME NTP Time Servers, and today adds impact to our recently launched Intelligent Modular Synchronization (IMS) product line. IMS solutions are focused on the growing field of synchronization technologies, offering a range of high performance timing solutions for networks of any size and industry. Meinberg also offers a broad spectrum of proven GPS receivers, WWVB, DCF77 (PZF) and MSF radio clocks, bus-level timing cards and associated accessories.
All Meinberg products are developed and manufactured in our plant located in Bad Pyrmont, Germany. Our advanced production facilities, machinery and test systems guarantee a consistently high level of quality, supported by highly specialized personnel in our sales, production, test and shipping departments. At Meinberg, our engineers are involved not only in initial product concepts, but also product development, production and after-sales support. Customers have access to Meinberg’s deep expertise at every step, with research, development, design, production, sales and support available from one proven source.
To further share expertise and synchronization knowledge with customers and end-users, Meinberg established Meinberg Sync Academy (MSA) in 2014. MSA supports professional growth and technical proficiency in the marketplace, enhancing practical application of synchronization technologies through education.
Proven Quality and Service
All Meinberg’s electronic modules and sub-assemblies are manufactured in a company-owned plant in Bad Pyrmont, Germany. Manufacturing procedures are carefully controlled and documented, and include inspection at each phase of production. Our circuit boards are built using our own SMD insertion machines, featuring the latest lead-free soldering technology and highest quality components. All manufactured products undergo 100% burn-in tests, using specially-designed cabinets that monitor and record performance attributes of each assembly. Meinberg’s manufacturing operations are designed to ensure that customer products are built for long-term, fault-free performance.
Comprehensive quality has always been Meinberg’s top priority, and our entire workforce is committed to manufacturing the best products in the industry. Each employee is personally responsible for the quality of their work, and takes this responsibility very seriously. An efficient barcode system tracks our products through each manufacturing step including assembly and testing, and records the date, time and technician handling the expert completion of that step. Our employees are continuously encouraged to contribute their ideas and suggestions for quality improvement in all areas of operations and manufacturing processes. Meinberg’s focus on quality is substantiated by the German regulatory agency DQS, with strict quality compliance validated by the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification audit.
